If you’re looking for someone to help with KS5 Chemistry, KS4 Chemistry, Biology or Physics, or KS3 Science you are in the right place.

My hope is that as well as preparing students for exams, I can pass on my enthusiasm for all things scientific, and encourage further education in the sciences.

Sometimes teaching at school needs some topping up, or you want to focus on a particular subject or area. I have a Master’s degree in Biology and Chemistry Education, a passion for Physics, with over 20 years’ teaching experience. This gives me the ability to teach every area of science. I teach GCSE and A-level at a prestigious Herts school.

I provide a tailored package of study based on screening, a careful evaluation and assessment of the pupil’s knowledge. Lessons are flexible, tutees choose topics they would like to consolidate or improve upon. I fully understand that all pupils learn at a different pace, and this is reflected in not only the content of the lessons I produce, but in the style I present the work.

I have been tutoring locally and online for 7 years but during lockdown moved to online only. This works well both for myself (full-time teacher) and my tutees. My students and all tutees have benefitted from an increase to their grades, some quite substantial.

There is no obligation – have as many or few lessons as you are comfortable with, and there’s no problem taking holidays or breaks whenever you wish.

I’m fascinated by the study of nature, which after all is what science is about. Take a look at this amazing video showing cell division:

I love Chemistry and these reactions are amazing to watch:

As a teaching aid, this is a brilliant representation of the human skeleton:
